A message from our PTSA Presidents
Dear Cherry Crest Parents,

Welcome to the last week of the school year! There are few years we are as grateful to have behind us as this one. Thank you to our amazing community for making it through this challenge together!
|
Thanks to your generous donations we have continued to provide Cherry Crest students with additional General School Assistants to help at school. Curriculum Enhancement Activities this year were fun and engaging activities for every grade (ToyMaker, Animal Encounters, Nature Vision, field trips, Pacific Science Center, Author Visit for storytelling and writing workshop).

Cherry Crest is lucky to have so many parents who care and contribute to making it such a unique and successful school. Helping in the classrooms, with fundraisers, yearbook, pictures, the directory, enrichment activities as well as so many other unseen helping hands, from home and during late evening hours. We are ever so GRATEFUL to be part of such a comm(UNITY) and we THANK YOU all!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Executive Committee members – Dave Fandel, Peggy Yu, Alison Payne, Sarit Egozi, Ksenia Tshahhirov, Nyambura, Monica, and Neha Bhuta for their dedication and willingness to serve our Comm(Unity) this year!

On behalf of the Cherry Crest PTSA, we wish everyone a very great summer! Good luck to our 5th graders getting ready for the middle school adventure and looking forward to meeting new students and families joining us in the fall, in person!

Calling all Cherry Crest Artists
|
The theme for next year's art reflections has been announced: "Show your Voice!"
|
Arts Categories
Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts
|
Arts Divisions
Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade: Primary (Pre-K – Grade 2), Intermediate (Grades 3-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8).
|
Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.
|

Yearbooks will be distributed to students in classrooms by teachers on Wednesday June 15 for all families that preordered a yearbook. There is a small supply of additional yearbooks which can be purchased after school in front of the school on Jun 15 and 17 for $25 (checks payable to Cherry Crest PTSA).

The STEM Club meeting will be held on Fri, Jun 17, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Cherry Crest Cafeteria. This is for rising 3rd grade to 5th grade students.
|
We will start with FLL (Robotics) presentation by elementary kids team (They will represent US in Global competition)
We will have detailed and group registration information for FLL (Robotics)
Science Olympiad event declaration and plan
Math club next year competition list to be registered.

We are in need of 2-4 parents/older student volunteers interested in helping our safety team with a full inventory of the Cherry Crest Emergency Supply closet. We haven’t done this in years and will spend time on June 22nd doing so to ensure a positive and safe start to our new school year.
